NIKKO BALI 3RD OPEN GOLF TOURNAMENT

Nikko Bali Resort & Spa is delighted to announce that the Nikko Bali 3 rd Open Golf Tournament will take place on Saturday 7 th June 2008 at the Bali Golf & Country Club, Nusa Dua. It will be a great day out for golfing enthusiasts based on a Callaway scoring system with three generous hole-in-one prizes of a Ford Ranger, Nissan Livina and Samsung LCD 52”.

Registration will begin at 11:30am with tee-off commencing at 01:00pm. Joining fee for the tournament is just Rp.1.400.000 nett for public. It covers all necessary playing charges and entitles participants to a light luncheon and drinks during tournament, as well as official tournament golf shoe bag and polo shirt giveaway.

There will also be a pre-dinner cocktail immediately after the tournament for players to wind down and relax. This will be followed by a prize awards dinner at Nikko Bali’s Graha Sawangan Ballroom featuring a delicious international menu and free flow beverages.

Nikko Bali Resort & Spa is delighted to announce that it has received Zero Accident Award for Health and Safety of manpower from Department Manpower and Transmigration (Departemen Tenaga Kerja dan Transmigrasi). This is the fifth consecutive award of its kind that Nikko Bali has won.

This comprehensive Health and Safety of manpower during their working hour evaluation is enforced annually for all company including hotel and resorts in Indonesia. The awards were presented in an official ceremony on 12 th March 2008 hosted by Mr. Jusuf Kalla, The Vice President of Republic of Indonesia.

FREDERIC FERRY ADIWIGANDA APPOINTEDAS WEDDING MANAGER FOR NIKKO BALI RESORT & SPA

Nikko Bali Resort & Spa has welcomed a new member to its team. Mr. Frederic Ferry Adiwiganda filled the post of Wedding Manager on 1 st April 2008. Ferry is brought in as a result of the resort’s recent endeavor to fine tune the service at all wedding sites especially the wedding venue masterpiece WIWAHA, to reach a new pinnacle.

Ferry, as his relatives usually call him was graduated from Padjadjaran State University Bandung majoring Financial Management and he continued his study to Oberoi School of Hotel Management (Centre of Learning & Development) New Delhi. Ferry started his career in hospitality industry since 1999 at The Oberoi Lombok as Assistant Manager in Food & Beverage. Then he moved to The GP’s Club in Hotel Gran Puri Manado as The General Manager.

Prior to his appointment as Wedding Manager at Nikko Bali Resort & Spa, Ferry rendered his wedding management service at Tirtha Bali Uluwatu, famous for its supreme service in hosting elegant and glamorous wedding receptions.

With his fusion experience and skills in food and beverage, sales and marketing as well as promotional and event management, he will be a valuable asset of Nikko Bali Resort & Spa wedding team.

JEAN-CHARLES LE COZ, APPOINTED GENERAL MANAGER OF NIKKO BALI RESORT & SPA

Mr. Le Coz has recently been appointed as General Manager of Nikko Bali Resort & Spa. He is replacing Mr. Thierry Joho, who is now part of the opening team at Hotel Nikko Shanghai’s new and stunning property in China, scheduled to open in March 2009.

Born in France at 1968, Mr. Le Coz’s interest in hospitality industry began early in his life. He is conversant in 4 languages and is married and a father of 2 children.

After earning his degree in Hospitality Management at the Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne in Switzerland, he moved on to work in Hotel L’Horset Opéra, Paris. His impressive background spans 14 years in the international hospitality arena including in Geneva, Paris, Phuket, Jakarta and Lausanne.

He is not a new comer in Bali, having held consultant and managerial positions in various resort; and opening innovative properties such as Novotel Benoa Bali and Haris Resort Kuta. Mr. Le Coz works independently with strong organizational skills and effective communication skills.

On his welcome speech, he pointed: “I am thrilled to join Nikko Bali Resort & Spa at a time when employees and owners are committed to raise the standards at even higher level.”
