BABY TURTLE RELEASE AT NIKKO BALI RESORT & SPA

29th September 2008 was a perfect tropical day for the new hatched turtle release hosted by Nikko Bali Resort & Spa at the beach. Attracting more than 70 participants there was an overwhelming from in-house guests, management and staff.

83 cute baby turtles were released. The mother turtle has laid their eggs at Nikko Bali Resort & Spa beach, Nusa Dua. 17th August 2008, in conjunction with the 63rd Independence Day of Republic of Indonesia, Nikko Bali Resort & Spa together with Rotaract (young Rotary Club Member) Nusa Dua conducted another turtle release that saw 100 baby turtles being shown back to their original element.

On the same token, last year, Nikko Bali Resort & Spa also conducted a baby turtle release; approximately 200 baby turtles were liberated after three turtles were laid their eggs in the sand of Nikko Bali Resort & Spa beach.

Nikko Bali Resort and Spa is committed not only to preserving and conserving the culture and tradition, but also to the protection of the environment.

CLEAN UP THE WORLD WEEKEND 2008

In conjunction with The Clean Up The World Weekend celebration on 19th – 21st September 2008, Nikko Bali Resort & Spa organized a beach cleaning on Friday, 19th September 2008. It was just simply removing and recycling waste from public areas and beach along the resort.

This program involved more than 150 people from the local fisherman organization; Kelompok Nelayan Sari Merta Segara, the children from local elementary school; Sekolah Dasar Negeri No.2 Benoa, Lingkungan Sawangan as well as the management and employees of Nikko Bali Resort & Spa.

As volunteers, they worked together in cleaning up of the 500 m shoreline at Sawangan Beach, southern part of Nusa Dua, Bali. Large amount of rubbish such as, plastic, cans, bottles and sandals had been collected from along the beach. The cleaning event was expected to highlight the need of clean tourism and most important to have local community aware of the importance of a clean environment.

NIKKO BALI RESORT & SPA JOINS JOB FAIR POLITEKNIK NEGERI BALI 2008

To create job placement in Bali’s tourism sector, Nikko Bali Resort & Spa joined the Job Fair Politeknik Negeri Bali 2008 on 16 th – 17 th September 2008 at Widia Padma, Politeknik Negeri Bali.

Nikko Bali Resort & Spa opened for 23 job vacancies from craft to management levels. More than 40 applicants showed up and submitted their resumes. The hotel’s Human Resources Department will review and screen the applications and will interview the listed candidates shortly.

he Job Fair Politeknik Negeri Bali 2008 is an opportunity for Nikko Bali Resort & Spa to create job opportunities and decrease unemployment in its sector.

APPRECIATIONS PARTY FOR NIKKO CLUB AT NIKKO BALI RESORT & SPA

Nikko Bali Resort and Spa was conducted Appreciations Party for its Nikko Club team on 18 th September 2008 at Oo-loo-loos Entertainment Center.

This event was held to give the appreciation for the Nikko Club team during a year of its operations, Nikko Club has been succeed to give the best service to the guest and contribution for the resort.

The management of Nikko Bali Resort & Spa thanked them by giving gift certificates to 22 employees of Nikko Club including Club Concierges, Nikko Club Kitchen and Nikko Club Pool Attendants.
