ANNUAL HOTEL TEMPLE CEREMONY (PUJAWALI PURNAMA KELIMA)

Nikko Bali Resort & Spa recently (25 October 2007) held the Piodalan of its temple; Pura Daleming Segara. The ceremony which conducted by Ida Pedanda Griya Delod Peken commencing at 02:00 pm until 06:00, attended by all Hindu staff, management and owning company. Guest in house also very interested to saw the procession of the ceremony.

NIKKO BALI RESORT & SPA 2ND TENNIS CLASSIC AND BALI TENNIS ACADEMY CHAMPIONSHIP

Nikko Bali Resort & Spa recently held a successful week-long event especially for local tennis enthusiasts. The Nikko Bali Resort & Spa 2 nd Tennis Classic and BTA Championship 2007 saw registered entrants participate in an exciting knock-out competition in an attempt to win a generous cachet of prizes. Over 200 players turned out of this event.

The event concluded with a gala presentation dinner held in Nikko Bali’s elegant Graha Sawangan Ballroom, which saw members of Bali’s tennis community gather together to enjoy a sumptuous international buffet. At various intervals throughout the evening we presented awards to tournament winners for the adult and junior singles and doubles match categories. Every winner and runner-up received a stylish engraved glass commemoration plate as well as a sports or racquet bag. There were also token cash prizes for specific match categories.

fter dinner entertainment was a stunning fashion show featuring the latest collection by Bali based designer Mr. Raymond who enthralled the audience with his inspiring sport and evening wear. Attractive lucky door prizes of dinner and spa vouchers from different sponsoring companies were drawn during the evening. The highlight was a grand prize of return airline tickets to Tokyo sponsored by JAL Hotels International and accommodation at Hotel Nikko Tokyo for one very lucky winner.

EID-UL-FITR DAY, 13 – 14 OCTOBER 2007

The Eid-Ul-Fitr is the Moslem holiday that follows the blessed month of Ramadan and falls on the 1st day of Shawwal, the 10th month in the Hijra calendar. Moslems are encouraged to dress in their best clothes, new if possible and attend a special community prayer in the morning, and visit friends and relatives.

Eid-ul-Fitr in Indonesia called Hari Raya Idul Fitri or Lebaran. Mass prayers are held in mosques and large open areas around the country. Celebrated with the traditional dish ketupat and visiting with family and friends. Charity donations ( amal) are traditionally given at this time. Begging of forgiveness for any transgressions or slights in the past year is expressed during visits, Mohon Maaf Lahir dan Batin. In urban areas halal-bihalal (mutual begging of pardon) gatherings are held.
