CLEAN UP THE WORLD WEEKEND 2007 : OUR CLIMATE... OUR ACTIONS... OUR FUTURE…
In conjunction with the Clean Up the World Weekend celebration at 14-16 September 2007, Nikko Bali Resort & Spa organized a clean up areas around the local community on Saturday, 15 th September 2007. It just simply removing and recycling waste from public areas and streets along the resort.
More than 100 people from the local elementary school children, Sekolah Dasar Negeri No.2 Benoa, Lingkungan Sawangan as well as the management and employees of the hotel actively participated in the clean up drive. Large amounts of discarded plastic materials, cans and bottles were cleared along the beach area.
This annual event re-emphasized the need to impart to the local community the importance of a consistently clean environment that also augurs well for the tourism industry.

3rd BATCH OF BABY TURTLE RELEASE AT NIKKO BALI RESORT & SPA
It was a perfect tropical day for the recent 3 rd batch of newly hatched turtle release hosted by Nikko Bali Resort & Spa at the beach. Attracting more than 60 participants there was an overwhelming response to this event at 20th September 2007 from in-house guests and employees.
There were 60 cute baby turtles released after the first batch of 120 nice tiny turtle on 24 July and the 2 nd batch hatched by the 3 rd September 2007. Three turtles have laid their eggs at the beach of Nikko Bali Resort & Spa. The ground monitored by the hotel staff whose will ensure that the hatchlings instinctively proceed safely into the nearby ocean where they will live thereafter.
The safe release of the hatchlings is in line with the hotel’s continuing contribution of preserving and conserving the natural environment. Last year, Nikko Bali Resort & Spa in cooperation with the Mitra Bahari foundation have likewise initiated the replanting of various corals in the vicinity shores.

3 INDONESIAN MINISTERS VISIT NIKKO BALI RESORT & SPA
On Tuesday, 11 September 2007, there are 3 Indonesian ministers visit Nikko Bali Resort & Spa namely Mr. Aburizal Bakrie (Minister of Welfare), Mr. Anton Apriyantono (Minister of Agriculture) and Mrs. Siti Fadilah Supari (Minister of Health). The purpose of their visit is for The Government of Indonesia Meeting with International Key Partners on Avian Influenza and Pandemic Preparedness 2007 which held at Graha Sawangan Ballroom from 11 – 12 September 2007. This meeting also attended by delegate from WHO, USAID and UNICEF. Seen in the picture is Mr. Thierry Joho, General Manager welcoming Mr. Aburizal Bakrie.
