NIKKO BALI RESORT & SPA HOSTS A GREAT DAY OUT FOR KIDS

Nusa Dua – Bali, July 2006… Children were treated to a fun day out recently when Nikko Bali Resort & Spa hosted the ‘Nikko Kidz Adventure with Tina Toon’. This event was scheduled to coincide with National Children’s Day, the Indonesian school holidays and celebrate the resort’s 10 th anniversary year.

The resort established a unique children friendly environment with a carnival atmosphere especially for the day under shaded tents and canopies. Festivities were centered at the Jungle Camp children’s day care facility, lagoon pool, tropical garden and beachfront areas. A variety of supervised games and activities such as climbing, basketball shots, colouring in, swimming and a sand castle competition kept the young ones occupied for hours.

Every child received a souvenir T-shirt and there were plenty of prizes and novelty giveaways throughout the day. A clown, magician and children’s band entertained the crowd on an open-air stage and the elephant mascot from Nikko’s Jungle Camp made a special guest appearance.

Refreshment stalls were open from midday onwards with a delicious selection of children’s favourites such as hot-dogs, hamburgers, satay sticks fried noodles and ice cream. Everyone seemed to enjoy the casual mood of sitting of the lawn picnic style for lunch with the family.

Children from two local schools, a handicapped facility in Nusa Dua and a nearby elementary school in Sawangan, were also attended to this event.

The highlight of the day was a colourful performance by Tina Toon. This popular child artist from Jakarta, who often appears on television, thrilled the audience with her dynamic act of Bollywood/Dangdut singing and dancing. Activities finally drew to a close at 4.30pm with the opportunity to have a photo taken with Tina Toon. This event also generously sponsored by Garuda Indonesia.

There was an overwhelming response to the ‘Nikko Kidz Adventure with Tina Toon’. It was a happy day was filled with the simple laughter of children at play and the resort was pleased to share this event with the local Balinese community.
