SOCIAL VISIT NIKKO BALI RESORT & SPA TO SD NEGERI 2 BENOA AT SAWANGAN

On the 16 th of June 2006, the team of Nikko Bali Resort & Spa did something special for the Sawangan community. The team visited Sekolah Dasar Negeri 2 Benoa and presented donations to the school and awards to the students who had outstanding academic performance.

The top three students from grades 1 to 6 were awarded cash prizes of Rp200,000 for the 1 st rank, Rp150,000 for the 2 nd and Rp100,000 for the 3 rd honors. With its symbolic contribution, Nikko Bali intends to inspire the youth for academic excellence and support for the local community.

This social visit is an annual program of Nikko Bali Resort & Spa to show that the hotel cares for the community and the environment. On this occasion, the Head Master of SD Negeri 2 Benoa at Sawangan expressed their appreciation and gratitude to Nikko Bali and added that the school has received a special award for being the cleanest school in the Badung regency.

In his brief speech, Mr. Thierry Joho, General Manager of Nikko Bali Resort & Spa, exhorted the students to strive hard and be the best not only in Sawangan, not only in Bali but in the entire country. Mr. Joho also handed over a garbage carriage for the school as a symbolic support for the continued cleanliness of the school as well as the community.

GOLD MEDAL FOR NIKKO BALI RESORT & SPA

Nikko Bali Resort & Spa is proud to announce that Mr. Gede Ariasa from Recreation Department won the gold medal from the 7K run competition during the Bali Hotels Association Sports and Cultural Carnival 2006.

The event was held on Sunday, 21 st May 2006 starting from the beach next to Bali Hilton passing through the Nusa Dua shoreline and finished at Novotel Benoa.

Gede Ariasa competed with more than 70 participants from Bali Hotels Association’s members and this is the 2nd time for him to win the gold medal in the same event in 2004 and 2006.

PERFECT CONDITIONS FOR THE NIKKO BALI 10 TH ANNIVERSARY OPEN GOLF TOURNAMENT

Nusa Dua – Bali, June 2006… It was a beautiful day for the recent Nikko Bali 10 th Anniversary Open Golf Tournament that took place at the Bali Golf & Country Club, Nusa Dua. About 100 people of golf enthusiasts turned out to participate in the event which offered some very attractive prizes and hole-in-one incentives.

The tournament was based on a handicap stroke system and commenced at noon, opened by Mr. Sudikerta, the Vice Head of Badung Regency with a shot-gun tee off. All players received the official tournament souvenir bag consisting of a hat and polo shirt. A light luncheon and refreshments were also provided throughout the da for participants.

A couple of seasoned players brought an exciting edge to the tournament with dramatic shots on some of the more challenging holes. However, most of the participants adopted a casual approach during the day and enjoyed the perfect weather conditions and social interaction.

A relaxed cocktail gathering took place immediately after the tournament and gave players the opportunity to unwind. This was followed by a more formal thank you dinner reception at Nikko Bali’s Graha Sawangan Ballroom where guests were treated to an evening of entertainment and delicious international menu.

The overall winner of the Nikko Bali 10 th Anniversary Open Golf Tournament was Mr. Han Jung Kook, Korean Golf Club chairman. He was awarded a trophy and golf stick. A generous collection of lucky draw prizes were also given away during the dinner presentation, such as return Denpasar - Seoul airline tickets sponsored by Garuda Indonesia including the accommodation. Unfortunately, the two exclusive hole-in-one prizes of an Isuzu Panther Touring and Daihatsu Xenia were not won during the tournament.

The tournament was the 4 th event in a series of monthly activities to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Nikko Bali Resort & Spa. Management and staff plan to make 2006 a year to remember and festivities will reach a climax in December with a birthday party extravaganza.

STUNNING WEDDING CHAPEL FOR NIKKO BALI RESORT & SPA

Nusa Dua – Bali, June 2006… Nikko Bali Resort & Spa in conjunction with Bridal House Tutu from Japan are delighted to announce that an exclusive cliff top wedding chapel is currently under construction at the resort.

Capturing a sweeping 180 degree view of ocean scenery, this magnificent split-level glass structure will provide an intimate setting for couples to exchange wedding and commitment vows. Bathed in natural sunlight, the chapel is a statement in contemporary design and personifies the vibrant ambiance of tropical Bali.

Named WIWAHA, which means marriage that normally used by the royal family in ancient Sanskrit, the chapel will have an indoor capacity to accommodate 30 seated guests for a formal wedding service and 50 guests for a standing cocktail style reception. The Bali Arts Festival is an annual event to celebrate the performing arts, handicraft exhibitions and other related cultural and commercial activities during which literally the whole of Bali comes to the city to present its offerings of dance, music and beauty. THE NIKKO BALI 10th ANNIVERSARY OPEN GOLF TOURNAMENT

Nusa Dua – Bali, May 2006… Nikko Bali Resort & Spa is delighted to announce that the Nikko Bali 10 th Anniversary Open Golf Tournament will take place on Saturday 10 th June 2006 at the Bali Golf & Country Club, Nusa Dua. It will be a great day out for golfing enthusiasts based on a handicap stroke system with two generous hole-in-one prizes of a Isuzu Panther Touring and Daihatsu Xenia.

Entrance for the tournament is just Rp.888.000 - for Indonesian citizens / KITAS holders and US$ 140.00 for non-KITAS holders. This fee covers all necessary playing charges and entitles participants to a light luncheon and refreshments as well as official tournament bag, polo shirt and cap souvenirs. Registrations will begin at 11.00am with shot-gun tee-offs commencing at noon.
