|THE THREE CULINARY MUSKETEERS REIGN!
Nikko Bali Resort and Spa appointed a new talented Food and Beverage team, taking the resort to another culinary level
There is something called the "rule of three", where it is believed that things that come in threes are better and more effective than in any other number. Thus many stories or characters throughout our lives feature this rule - such as The Three Stooges, Three Little Pigs, Goldilocks and The Three Bears and an all time favorite, The Three Musketeers (parts quoted from Wikipedia). But recently Nikko Bali Resort and Spa has taken the "rule of three" into its Food and Beverage Department and appointed three new members to its team who will 'reign' over the culinary experience at the resort.
Graeme Ritchie, previously the Executive Chef of Nikko Bali Resort and Spa, took the lead of the entire 'troops'. His years of experience, attention to details and innovative nature are the key points that led to his recent promotion to Food and Beverage Director in November 2011. He has displayed great results over a short period of time with new ideas and a different culinary approach. One of his achievements was to get a listing in the Michelin guide for one of the restaurants. From restaurants to resorts and city hotels, in Europe and Asia, it can be said that he has cooked his way across the world.
The second member of the team has also traveled the world from resort to resort and joined Nikko Bali Resort and Spa in February 2012. His expertise in creative culinary, innovative mixology and event planning created a hip spot in Bali during his last appointment. Erick Hardiansyah now introduced his laid back but assertive approach to the resort and within a short period has managed to create a different vibe to the simplest details for Nikko Bali Resort and Spa such as signature cocktails creation and a refined wine list.
A crucial member of the team, young talented chef Attila Kormoczi, has been appointed as the new Executive Chef. He arrived in Bali back in 2008 and started his culinary journey on the island with two well-known resorts. Gaining most of his experience in Germany, Attila's current main mission is to refine the culinary experience and develop new selections and looks at Nikko Bali Resort and Spa.
With their own expertise and finesse, these new "Three Musketeers" are ready to face the challenges before them to take Nikko Bali Resort and Spa a STEP UP in the culinary world.
|AN EVENT, ORGANIZED
With a new team, Nikko Bali Resort and Spa is ready to ensure any event is flawlessly organized
Organizing an event involves attention to details that sometimes is just too much to handle alone. Even the simplest event can be the worst nightmare for some. This is one of the reasons why people would rather hire an event or party organizer to take care of these 'little things' to ensure success.
Nikko Bali Resort and Spa is committed to ensuring that all its clients' needs are carried out and exceed their expectations. Thus the resort has recently appointed Ieda Puanani as the new Director of Event Sales. I Ketut Gita will be taking charge of the banquet and events operations as Director of Events.
Ieda literally grew up in the world of events and catering as she started her journey in the industry as Catering Secretary for a five-star hotel in Jakarta. Her hard work and persistence have pushed her forward in her career and took her to managerial level in less than four years. She then joined JW Marriott Jakarta as Director of Event Management and also took care of the Ritz Carlton Jakarta before flying off to Hawaii to pursue her career. She recently took charge of the Conventions and Events as the Director of Sales at Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta before joining Nikko Bali Resort and Spa.
|A LUXURY DEVELOPMENT AT THE SOUTH OF BALI
Nikko Bali Resort and Spa to construct private villas and a new multi purpose building
JANUARY 2012, NUSA DUA - Bali is a destination that is ever changing with new developments and redevelopments to keep up with the market demands and also to maintain the image of luxury and style that it is now well known for.
Not to be left behind, Nikko Bali Resort and Spa has also some innovative development plans in place for 2012.
Located approximately 50 meters from the main entrance of the resort will be 20 one, two and three-bedroom villas which will offer an exclusive and private holiday for guests wanting a little more space and privacy. Each villa - with more than 200 square meter in size - is equipped with a small pantry, dining area, lounge area, a private swimming pool and an open concept villa designed in a contemporary style, incorporating modern elements and traditional wood works and accessories.
Multi Purpose Building
Nikko Bali Resort and Spa already has excellent meeting facilities, however due to the demand for meetings and special events a new building will be built which will comprise of a multi function ballroom, an enticing reception venue with a club lounge and an open pavilion as an optional wedding venue to the resort’s existing selection of glass chapel and outdoor venues.
The Multi Purpose Facility will cater to Weddings and Meetings for up to 700 guests. The facility will consist of one big room which can be divided into 3, plus an additional 3 break out rooms. There will also be a Bride and Groom preparation room as well as an area for the wedding guests children to be entertained.
To ensure that there is something for everyone there will also be some very nice up-market Retail Space to cater to our international guests needs.
This will be a very special development and will be all set on ground level with Ocean Views and very large garden areas. The architect, GKA, and also our landscape artist, Kent Architect, are well known in Bali for other major 5 star resorts in Bali.
Instead of bringing you the usual updates, we wish to post this 'article' made by one of our guests who recently had his holiday at Nikko Bali Resort and Spa with his family - we hope that you would enjoy it as much as we do.
Nikko Bali Resort and Spa is aware of the construction site located outside the boundaries of the resort, approximately 400 meters to the south. Even though this construction is not in anyway linked to the resort, and it is completely beyond any control we may have over the matter.
The management of Nikko Bali Resort and Spa are still extremely concerned by the welfare and enjoyment of their guests and are willing to take measures to ensure discomfort is kept to a minimum. To this end, should it be required, we will endeavor to allocate rooms in our north wing, to any guest who would request it (subject to the type of room reserved and availability at the time).
The said construction is in its initial stage, where the noise pollution may be at it’s most noticeable, the noise checks conducted by a certified agency on 9 December 2011 in various parts of Nikko Bali Resort & Spa during day time show the following results:
