Have you tried the coffee in any of our Food and Beverage outlets? Do you notice anything different from the aroma, flavor, acidity and after taste? You must have realized that it is not any of the European roast that you used to have at any other restaurants or coffee shops.
Yes, we no longer use the regular European blend because we wish to support the nation’s coffee plantation and opt for one of Indonesia’s best, the Gayo coffee from Sumatra.
Indonesia is now the fourth largest producer of coffee in the world and you can literally find coffee from the west part of Indonesia, Sumatra to the east part, Papua. Beside the Gayo from Sumatra we also feature Bali coffee – for those who prefer a stronger kick of caffeine – in our menus.
Gayo is known as a roast that has a high tone but light body, this is because the coffee is processed at farm level, using the traditional wet method. The aroma is quite strong but acidity level is quite low and it has that unique after taste on the back of your palate. If you have never tried this great coffee, you should probably head to our Delicatessen where it is available in different ways, espresso, long black, cappuccino or one of our favorites, as iced latte.
